With the approval of the Edmonton Metropolitan Region Growth Plan October 13, 2016, the Advocacy & Monitoring Committee (AMC) is focused on bringing the plan and the benefits of its 30-year outcomes to key Cabinet Ministers - especially those whose portfolios will be most impacted.

On October 11, AMC Chair Greg Krischke, Board Chair Nolan Crouse and Parlkland County Mayor Rod Shaigec met with Agriculture & Forestry Minister Oneil Carlier. The discussion was highlighted by an introduction of the concept of a Regional Agriculture Master Plan, which will be an outcome of the Growth Plan.

On November 8, Mayors Krischke and Crouse, as well as a third CRB representative, are set to meet with Energy Minister Marg McQuaig-Boyd. On the agenda will be the CRB Energy Corridors Master Plan and energy avocacy in general.

The AMC met with Municipal Affiars Minister Danielle Larivee on August 30 and Board Chair Nolan Crouse delivered the Edmonton Metropolitan Region Growth to her at the Legislature in a short ceremony on October 19, 2016.

Further meetings are being planned in the coming weeks.
